As the Headteacher of Sacred Heart Catholic Academy, it is my great privilege to lead a school where the holistic development of our pupils is our core purpose.

Our vision, inspired by Oscar Romero's words, "Aspire not to have more but to be more," guides us in fostering an environment where students thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.

I have dedicated my entire 20-year teaching career to Liverpool schools,. I believe in the power of the whole community working together to ensure that we create an Environment where pupils can in fact “be more” and therefore reach their potential ensuring they can become the best version of themselves.

Our Academy is deeply rooted in the values of Love, Ambition, Service, and Respect. These values permeate every aspect of school life, ensuring that our Catholic ethos is lived out daily. Our mission, inspired by Jesus Christ, is to create a nurturing environment where Gospel values are central to academic, social, and spiritual growth.

At Sacred Heart, we are committed to the pursuit of academic excellence and personal development, grounded in our Catholic identity. Our curriculum is broad and balanced, continually refined to ensure that all students achieve their full potential. We support this with a bespoke Personal Health, Social, and Citizenship Education programme and a wide-ranging extra-curricular offer that reflects our local identity.

Our goal is to help each pupil complete their educational journey with us, equipped to take their place in society where their gifts and talents will benefit all. We insist on the highest standards of behaviour for learning, with clear policies to maintain these standards. This consistency enables our community to flourish and our pupils to live out our mission statement.
