Public Speaking Competition Winners!
Oscar and Chenitha represented Sacred Heart Catholic Academy at the central cluster of the Archdiocesan Public Speaking Competition in July.
They spoke interestingly, clearly and with great enthusiasm for three minutes on their respective topics of “Is the UN a Failed Experiment?” and “There comes a time when silence is betrayal."
They really did Sacred Heart proud, as the youngest competitors and they faced stiff opposition (the standard was exceptionally high) from Holy Family, Christ the King, St Cuthbert’s, Hope Academy, St Augustine’s and The Salesian Academy of St John Bosco.
Both boys were highly praised for their strong performances, with Chenitha winning first place overall! He won a lovely trophy and certificate and the sponsors, Pearson Qualifications, also awarded him a £75 Amazon voucher.
What a phenomenal achievement, well done boys!
