Our Passion Play
As a school community, we sought to honour the significance of Jesus' death and resurrection by presenting a Passion Play, The Passion - Retold.
This sacred event, central to our faith, allowed us to reflect deeply on the sacrifice and triumph of our Lord during Holy Week.
Our production combined acting, singing, and dancing to vividly portray the story of Christ’s suffering, death, and resurrection. Students from Years 7 to 10 dedicated themselves to bringing this powerful narrative to life, demonstrating great commitment and faith.
The play was performed twice - first for our partner primary and Trust primary schools; Ursuline Primary, Great Crosby, St. Edmund’s and St. Thomas Primary and St. Mary’s Little Crosby, as well as students from one of our Trust Secondary schools; The Salesian Academy of St. John Bosco.
It was then performed for the wider community later in the evening. We were delighted to welcome students, families, parish members, local residents and local clergy into Sacred Heart to celebrate the joy of the Easter season.
Rooted in our school’s Catholic values, the performance offered a meaningful opportunity for reflection and celebration. It was a moving experience for all involved, concluding with a Lenten blessing from Fr. Dominic, making it a truly fitting way to prepare for Easter.
The performance was a huge success, and a huge debt of thanks goes to all who were involved in the making of this play.
